WELCOME TO UKYC 2027
31st July - 7th August

The UK Youth Conference is back for 2027, and we can’t wait to see you there! We’ve got some fantastic topics lined up under the theme Run with Endurance.

Since 2007, UKYC has been an opportunity for us to come together around God’s Word and study his message - and 2027 marks an amazing milestone: 20 years of UKYC!

Scriptural Theme

Run with Endurance

Our theme for UKYC 2027 - Run with Endurance - is taken from Hebrews 12:1, where we are told to “run with endurance the race that is set before us”. The chapter calls us to put aside the things that can hold us back and to keep our eyes fixed on the Lord Jesus Christ, who is the author and finisher of our faith. As we look at this theme throughout UKYC, we hope we can encourage one another to keep running the race, looking forward to the joy that is set before us.

Bro. Martyn Lawrence (UK), Bro. Andy Walton (UK) and Bro. Jason Hensley (US) will be joining us for the week and leading our studies with the following titles:

The 10 Words: Written with the Finger of God, Bro. Martyn Lawrence

What do the Ten Commandments mean for life in today’s world? In this series, we’ll explore how the Old Testament expands and applies the original words of Exodus 20. Then we’ll see how Jesus takes us deeper into God’s purpose, uncovering the principles that illuminate contemporary issues of freedom, authenticity, power and identity.

Endurance Strengthened by Prophecy, Bro. Andy Walton

How do we keep going when faith is tested, answers seem distant, and the world around us becomes increasingly uncertain?

Throughout the Bible, men and women of faith endured because God’s promised future was real to them. From Abraham looking for the city to come, through Israel in the wilderness, Daniel studying prophecy, and the early believers waiting for the Kingdom, we will explore how hope in God’s promises gives strength for the journey.

Finally, we will look to the greatest example of all: Jesus, who “for the joy that was set before him endured the cross” (Hebrews 12:2).

Across five studies we will discover a simple but powerful principle: the strength of our endurance depends on how real God’s promised future is to us.

David’s Wilderness Years, Bro. Jason Hensley

How would you feel if you spent a decade on the run? Even more, how would you feel if you spent a decade on the run, knowing that God had promised you that life would be better?

Can you imagine how David would have felt as he fled from Saul? He knew that he had a promise. Yet each day, he recognized that his reality was different from what he had been told. How did he work through that? How did he continue to trust God, holding on to hope and faith?

As we consider David’s wilderness years, we’ll examine how he dealt with that struggle and see how we too can be transformed by his story.

The aims of UKYC

The aims of UKYC

'...do all to the glory of God.' - 1 Corinthians 10:31

UKYC was set up in 2027 by a group of young people who wanted to offer as many young Christadelphians as possible an opportunity to read and discuss God's word together, while building friendships that encourage us on the way to the Kingdom.

As we look forward to UKYC 2027, our ninth conference, the committee remains committed to these same objectives, remembering that all we do should be to the glory of God and according to His will.

Guidelines

Guidelines for the week

The delegates at previous UKYCs allowed the committee and hosts to enjoy serving at the week and we are sure that the same very positive spirit will prevail in 2027.

We have therefore kept the guidelines to the minimum that we believe are required:

  1. The Pioneer centre provides some rules for us about behaviour on the site. These will be covered on the first day at UKYC and we will all adhere to them.
  2. All young people must attend all organised sessions.
  3. No boys in girls' lodges or girls in boys' lodges.
  4. No alcohol, smoking or drug use of any kind is permitted at the conference.
  5. As we are trying to create a Godly atmosphere please do not bring worldly magazines to UKYC or listen to inappropriate music.
  6. Brethren are asked to keep their heads uncovered in all scripture sessions and Sisters are asked to keep their heads covered.

Above all, please remember the aims of UKYC!

Venue

Pioneer Centre

UKYC will be held at the Pioneer Centre in Shropshire, a beautiful county in central England. The Pioneer Centre is a modern, purpose-built conference centre; we have booked the entire venue.

The Pioneer Centre was highly popular with delegates at previous UKYCs, and in particular offers fantastic communal space for enjoying each other's company during free time.

Other benefits include:

  • High Quality accommodation with en-suite facilities.
  • Full board arrangement with all meals and drinks provided.
  • Excellent conference rooms providing a superb environment for Bible Study.
  • Fantastic sports facilities.
  • Hot & cold drinks and fruit available all day.

A map showing the location of the Pioneer Centre is available here.
